DANIEL J EDWARDS
Daniel J. Edwards is a Broadway performer, voice actor, and acting coach whose career spans Broadway, national tours, regional theatre, animation, and video games. His work across both stage and screen has established him as a versatile performer with extensive experience in musical theatre, voiceover, and new work development.
Daniel earned his B.A. in Musical Theatre from Point Park University after extensive training in ballet, dance, and musical theatre, including Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and Interlochen Arts Camp. He is also certified in The Singing Athlete, a neuroscience based singing technique. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with some of the industry's most respected directors and creatives, including Stephen Sondheim, Bartlett Sher, Michael Arden, Kathleen Marshall, and Darren Dunstan.
On stage, Daniel made his Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning revival of Anything Goes, directed by Kathleen Marshall and starring Sutton Foster and Joel Grey. Additional theatre credits include Disney's first-ever union production of Mulan as Captain Shang, The Little Mermaid, Miss Saigon, Road Show at New York City Center Encores!, where he worked alongside Stephen Sondheim on one of the legendary composer's final productions, The King and I Broadway Tour directed by Bartlett Sher, Maybe Happy Ending at the Alliance Theatre,
and Honeymoon in Vegas. He has also been a frequent performer with NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, appearing in numerous readings of new musicals and performing regularly at New York's renowned 54 Below. His workshop credits include the Broadway workshops of Bull Durham and Almost Famous, where he portrayed Silent Ed.
In voiceover, Daniel has voiced leading and recurring characters in some of the world's most recognizable animation and gaming franchises. His credits include Aigami (Diva), Varis, Gore, and Dennis McField in the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, as well as roles in Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, Running Man: The Animated Series, T-Busters, Dooodolls, Elvis Riboldi, Ladies versus Butlers, Psychic School Wars, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Contra: Rogue Corps, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold, and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. He also voiced the lead character, Milk Cow, in the GKIDS animated feature Satellite Girl and Milk Cow, and contributed melody writing and vocal performance for the film.
Alongside his performing career, Daniel co-developed Q Lim Vocal Studio with founder Q Lim. As an acting and voiceover coach, he has helped students book professional work on Broadway, in regional theatre, animation, and voiceover. Drawing from his extensive experience in theatre and voice acting, Daniel specializes in audition coaching, self-tapes, callbacks, and cold reads, helping performers prepare confidently for today's fast-paced industry.

I'm a Broadway performer, voice actor, songwriter, and acting coach. Over the years, I've been fortunate to build a career across Broadway, voiceover, and new musical development, and I'm excited to share everything I've learned to help guide you on your own journey.
As a young performer, I attended Interlochen's Musical Theatre Program along with other intensive musical theatre and dance programs. Those experiences taught me how successful training programs are built and, more importantly, how to make meaningful progress in a short amount of time.
While pursuing my musical theatre career in New York City, my ability to quickly learn music and my obsession with cold reading led to opportunities with NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, where I performed in more than twenty new musical readings while working alongside talented composers, lyricists, and creative teams. Those experiences taught me how to break down scripts efficiently and recognize exactly what directors and creative teams are looking for in an audition room.
Voiceover quickly became much more than another part of my career—it became one of my greatest passions. I loved the freedom of bringing characters to life using only my voice. Along the way, I expanded my experience beyond performing, serving as a co-director on animated series, a casting director, adapting scripts, and recording for numerous educational and ESL programs. Working on both sides of the table gave me a deeper understanding of what makes a performance truly stand out.
As a Korean adoptee, I often felt like I didn't fit into the traditional mold of the performing industry. There were no roles that looked like they were written for someone like me, and I never had mentors who shared my experiences. I had to learn how to navigate the industry on my own, often carving out opportunities where none seemed to exist.
That's ultimately why I became a teacher.
I want to be the mentor I didn't have. I know what it's like to feel different, to question whether you belong, and to wonder if there's a place for your voice. Sometimes the people around you get to go with the flow—but you have to make your own path. Those are the artists I connect with the most, and I'd be honored to help you discover where your own path can lead.
